My name is Dr. Scott Russell. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and attended Washington University in St. Louis. After graduating, I returned to Ohio and attended the Medical College of Ohio, graduating in 1994. Then I completed my internship and residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington State. During my time in the military, I served in various positions, including Chief of Gynecology, at Womack Army Medical Center.
In 2002, I left the U.S. Army and entered private practice in Colorado Springs, working with Advanced Gynecology, but quickly missing working in Obstetrics. I moved to Kansas City, in 2004, to be near my wife’s family, during this time I worked in a large group practice. These were good years, but I didn’t feel that large group practices served patients well. So, I returned to Colorado Springs (the town I love) to start my private practice with my wife.
Jennifer and I have been married for 19 years and have 2 wonderful children.
I have specific interests aside from general obstetrics and gynecology. I’ve been an instructor and preceptor for the total laparoscopic hysterectomy technique. In addition, I have extensive experience in the management of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence, as well as the diagnosis and management of chronic pelvic pain.
I’m a member in good standing of The American Board of Ob/Gyn, a fellow of The American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, a member of Christian Medical and Dental Society, The Association of Pro Life Ob/Gyns, The International Pelvic Pain Society, The El Paso County Medical Society, and I Am Good Health.
My name is Dr. Cher Moseman. I am a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine. After medical school I joined the United States Air Force, and underwent a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wilford Hall Medical Center, in San Antonio Texas.
I subsequently served as an active duty Air Force Obstetrician and Gynecologist at the United States Air Force Academy and Evans Army Community Hospitals for 4 years. During this time I performed 250 deliveries and over 300 hundred surgeries. I also received the Physician of the Year Award in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Evans Army Hospital in 2006, and received the Meritorious Service Medal from the United States Air Force in 2007. I’ve been in private practice in Colorado Springs since 2007, and joined Front Range Obstetrics and Gynecology in December 2011.
I’m certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Plus, certified by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry and can interpret bone density scans performed in our clinic.
I served as the Junior Fellow Chair in the Armed Forces district for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and remain active in this College. I’m also a member of the El Paso County Medical Society.
Just recently, I had the honor of being named the Top Gynecologist in Colorado Springs by Style Magazine, was awarded the 2010 and 2011 Best Physician Award, the 2010 and 2011 Compassionate Provider Award, and the 2010 Patient’s Choice Award by national surveys.
I have active privileges at Penrose Hospitals, Memorial Hospital, Audubon Surgery Center, and Premier Surgery Center.
Hi, I’m Tauni Ryan. Caring for women has been my focus and desire since first becoming a registered nurse in 1986. I went on to receive my Bachelors of Science Degree in 1994 and eventually a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Hawaii in 1997, where I graduated with top honors.
As a military wife and daughter, I have been fortunate to live in many places and experience many cultures, which I believe has enhanced my ability as a health care professional in relating to individual needs. As a mother of two daughters ages 20 and 22 and a full time caregiver to my elderly mother, age 80, I believe I can relate to women and their health issues throughout the life span (adolescence, young adult, adult and geriatric).
I am passionate about comprehensive health care and therefore focus on the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of my patients. My first experience as a nurse practitioner was at the Waianae Comprehensive Medical Center where I cared for high risk populations on the Leeward Coast of Hawaii. This was a very rewarding experience which proved to be invaluable when I moved to Colorado and worked for the El Paso County Health Department Women’s Clinic and Infectious Disease Clinic. I worked with Dr. Russell for two years at a GYN practice in town until he moved to Kansas, and I was thrilled to join him again in his new practice. I care for a wide range of patients including pre and post natal care, family planning, nutritional counseling, routine and complex gyn issues and peri/post menopausal concerns.
Hi, I’m Jennifer Russell, and I am the practice manager. I have worked at Front Range ObGyn for over two years. I love being here because I love the women that come through our doors. Working in the medical field, not to mention an ob-gyn office, I share very personal moments with our patients. We have laughed together, and cried together. I have never worked with my husband before, aside from home improvement projects, and I have to confess that I love it. We enjoy working in tandem and I think we make a good team…..just don’t ask my teenagers. I have so much confidence in his knowledge and skills; he is constantly reading, studying and endeavoring to be better. I’ll be the first to tell you, he is not perfect, but he’s as excellent as they come.
Hi! My name is Laura and I am the back office supervisor for Front Range Ob/GYN. I was born in Dubuque, Iowa; however, I have lived in Colorado Springs for 25 plus years. I have been married for 12 years and we have four amazing children Alex, Jenna, Madison and Ben. In my free time I love spending time with my kids and family. I have an Associate’s degree from DeVry Technical College and I have been a registered Medical assistant for 10 years. I previously worked with Dr. Russell and Tauni Ryan for several years in another GYN practice. Two years ago faith led me back to work with Dr. Russell again after five years, and I have been at Front Range since opening day December 2008! What I enjoy most about my job is sharing personal and private experiences with women every day, getting to know them and their families, and sharing life’s joys with them. I am so grateful to be working at Front Range Ob/GYN where we are one big family. Please come see us and join our family!
